Idol Tan Review – Free Bottle Offer
As more and more people become aware of the risks of “laying out”, or sun tanning in direct sunlight, there are a number of products on the market designed to solve this problem. How do I get a darker look without the risk of damaging my skin or increasing the risk of cancer? The answer is a sunless tanning lotion or spray, and Idol Tan fits into this category. So what is the best self tanning lotion? We’ve found that Idol Tan, especially for getting a free bottle, offers the best value, results and overall experience.
Everybody wants to look darker, slimmer, healthier, sexier right? Idol Tan can do this in the span of just a couple of hours. You simply apply, get dressed, and in an hour or two your skin does change to a nice bronze color. I’m also happy to report that the dreaded orange “fake bake” tint or color didn’t happen a single time when I applied it. I think this was the case because Idol Tan uses DHA which affects amino acids in the skin to naturally create the desired look, it’s not a stain or dye.
I’ve read and heard some people say the tan doesn’t last very long. In my case it stayed for about a week, which I thought was really good. After all, unless you are in the sun A LOT, a tan only lasts a few days anyway, and that’s if you don’t burn first and go pink for the first couple days So I really don’t think that’s much of an issue.
A couple of things you’ll want to remember. These kinds of products, like Idol Tan, are not sunscreens. They do have an SPF (or skin protection factor) rating or ingredients to protect your skin from the sun. Also, I’ve heard using these kind of products can actually increase your skin’s sensitivity to ultraviolet rays shortly after using it. I’m not sure if that’s 100 percent the case, but just to be safe I didn’t go out in the sun until a couple hours after using the product.
This product is also made in the United States and uses a number of natural ingredients and botanicals. I don’t know about you, but I prefer to use products that aren’t too heavy on synthetic chemicals. This product is also available in either a cream or a spray, which is great if you don’t have somebody to help you get to tough to reach places. I’ve tried both and personally I prefer the spray as it just felt a little “lighter” on my skin, if that makes any sense, but you may feel differently.

- May not last as long as some people want
My Rating: 4 stars (our of 4)
Overall I was very pleased with Idol Tan. Oh… I almost forgot, it has a nice coconut fragrance to it which I really liked. It was easy to use, didn’t irritate my skin, and most important, I had a great looking tan in just a couple of hours.
I would highly recommend at least getting a free bottle and trying it out for yourself. I was very pleasantly surprised and will be using it a lot this year, especially before I go on my Caribbean cruise later this year.
Jwoww Black Bronzer Self Tanner Review
If you like “The Shore” or not, a good way to get a tan.
Yes, Jwoww, or Jenni Farley has her own brand of tanning lotion… sort of. The Jersey Shore reality tv star has put her “stage name” on a pretty good product from Australian Gold. I would have been a bit more hesitant if the lotion was produced by a no-name or knock-off brand, but to Jwoww’s credit, she’s getting paid royalties from a solid company (go figure).
If you like Jwoww, or prefer more Snooki, you have to admit the girl always looks tan and beautiful. She’s rarely, if ever, seen in the public eye or on her show without a flawless bronze skin color. Now, I can’t say for sure she JUST uses the tanning lotion with her name on it, but I’m sure it’s touched her skin more than once inbetween trips to the shore and the tanning bed.
As far as I can tell, Jwoww has at least 12 lotions, offering various results. For this review we just tried the standard Jwoww Black Bronzer. There is a Black Bronzer 50x, which sounds great and terrifying all at the same time.
Ok, in the spirit of full disclosure I feel kind of middle of the road on this product. It’s not bad, not at all, but it didn’t “wow” me (couldn’t resist). It does what it says it will do… give you a good dark tan. Is it a little pricey in my opinion, and I can’t help but think that’s because of the royalties Australian Gold is paying Jwoww to use her name in the first place. Now, the other question that kept popping into mind was, “is my skin darker from this product when compared to using other indoor tanning lotions?” Answer… I’m not sure… maybe? This is the part where I struggle. I guess reading the name Black Bronzer and you get an idea in your head that it’s gonna blow you away with a deep dark color. It worked fine, it is just that it didn’t go as dark as I thought it would. Now maybe that’s all in my own head, and maybe that’s why they have the Jwoww Black Bronzer 50x, for that over the top dark tan. Does any of this rambling make sense? I guess I was expecting more, and for the price kinda feel like I should have seen better results.
- Stylish, sexy bottle
- good color after just one use
- contentment knowing I’m supporting a starving reality star (not really)
- Not quite as dark as I thought
- More expensive than other sunless lotions
- Maybe a bit more hype than reality
My rating: 3 (out of 4 stars)
Why only 3 stars? I openly admit a lot of it is due to my high expectations. Add the higher price point and I just couldn’t give it 4. I wouldn’t go as far as calling it Jmeh, instead of Jwoww, but Black Bronzer feels a bit extreme to me. Australian Gold is a good company and makes a good product, but I think they’re charging more for Jwoww’s name. Click the link below to buy some for yourself.
